Pastor Jerry Miller preaches verse by verse from the Bible.  His job is to help the congregation understand what the passage is saying and how to relate that to our daily lives.  He spends time reaching out to the community, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, and instructing others through informal Bible Studies.
He is the first pastor of Southtown Baptist, since this is a very recent fellowship.
You can contact him at jdpastor@yahoo.com
Jerry grew up on a farm and thought that he would be a farmer until he died.  He
earned an Associates degree in Agricultural Business from Southwest State University in Marshall, MN.  Then he realized that there was more to life than farming, and he left the farm to prepare for the ministry.  He completed his Bachelor's degree at Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Owatonna, MN and continued studies at Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary in Ankeny, IA.
Jerry and his wife Crystal were married in 2006.  From 2008-2013 he was pastor of First Baptist Church in Bancroft, IA.  Jerry and Crystal have four sons who are very close in age and a baby daughter.
Pastor Miller has always enjoyed tinkering out in the garage as well as running large tractors (probably due to his farming background).
He is bi-vocational.  As the new church was started, he icombined his past experiences in carpentry and the activities he already enjoys, to has become a self employed carpenter and excavator along with the ministry work.
Pastor Miller is cooperating with Continental Baptist Missions for the ministry here in Worthing.
